Do You Remember?

Do you remember how your lips with mine
Fused .. like the hue and fragrance in a rose?
We sang .. we danced ... I drank your fabulous wine
Under the twinkling eyes of stars and foes.

Do you recall two hearts in love entwined
Like dreamy words and music in a song?
They say the eyes of love are always blind.
How did they see? ... What went so sadly wrong?
